As Coco Chanel said, "black has everything. And so does white. Its beauty is absolute." The favorite color combination of the fashionable madam par excellence lives its particular comeback. A timeless and classic palette, but not that old-fashioned at all, quite the contrary. The combination of non-colour, the yin and yang, positive versus negative, is one of the most outstanding trends for this spring-summer 2020. The runways feature sartorial-style looks with reinvented tailoring outfits and slightly oversized silhouettes by brands such us Balmain, Burberry, Dunhill and Jil Sander. There are also slim-fit suits as seen at Saint Laurent. Besides, there is no lack of prints like pinstripe by Chalayan and the gingham pattern at Ami. The leather jacket is also present in black and white combinations, from the biker style, this time with fringes, by Versace, or the mythical bomber by Celine. Extra-long garments like the Acne Studios shirt and the sleeveless coat by Raf Simons. Transparencies are also on trend in pieces by Helmut Lang or Dsquared2. Finally, there are those who propose to dress up this iconic combination with a touch of color, as we have seen with a touch of red at Rochas; or accents in beige and brown at Loewe. Anyway, whatever is the case, this season black & white is always a hit.
